We were displaced alone. When we returned and saw him, we felt comfort, happiness, reassurance, and safety, but this feeling would quickly disappear because my father wasn't with us. At one point, we were displaced alone, and we would hear news about my father and check on him from relatives. One day, my mother received a call. We didn't realize what was happening until we heard her collapse and cry. That's when we knew we had lost the most precious thing we had.
