Her mother divorced when she was just over a year old and then remarried, which negatively impacted her psychologically. She has been displaced more than 17 times so far. The first displacement began on the first day of the war, and her house was destroyed months later. One of these displacements involved walking. Rida was repeatedly exposed to the sounds of explosions very close by. She is currently displaced with her paternal grandmother in Khan Younis and recently graduated from first grade. Show less
